Liberals Not Playing With a Full Deck
Seems like the higher up the liberal food chain you go, the shorter your memory. (Reckon that’s why the Republican, and not the Democrat, symbol is the elephant? No question about the jackass, that’s for certain!)Democratic Sen. John “do as I say…not as I do” Kerry urged the White House on Friday to release “in their entirety” all documents and memos from Supreme Court nominee John Roberts’ tenure in two Republican administrations. Roberts served as White House counsel’s office from 1982 to 1986, and was principal deputy solicitor general in the administration of President George H.W. Bush.
“We cannot do our duty if either Judge Roberts or the Bush administration hides elements of his professional record,” said the Massachusetts senator and failed presidential candidate.
Doesn’t seem that long ago that Kerry repeatedly refused to sign a single-page military form called the Standard Form 180, that would have released all his military records to the public, after several inconsistencies were pointed out in his statements regarding his military service during the 2004 presidential campaign. His ongoing failure to sign the release was widely taken as proof he had something to hide.
Further, as Kerry made claims during the campaign regarding his “key role” on the Senate Intelligence Committee, Committee Chairman Pat Roberts called for Sen. John Kerry to release his Intelligence Committee attendance records - as controversy broiled over revelations that the top Democrat was mostly a no-show during important hearings. Again, Kerry balked at full disclosure.
The big difference is that Roberts has nothing to hide here. Let the liberals have their witch-hunt. My guess is they won’t find anything that isn’t already in the public domain. Looks to me like Roberts behind closed doors is the same guy as Roberts’ public, judicial persona.
Dig hard, fellas…call us when you get to China.

When I heard what Kerry said about releasing informations I felt like rolling around on the floor laughing. That's funny stuff.
I have a good feeling about Roberts. Although I must admit I think Bush is taking a risk here. How sure is he as to where Roberts stands? Hopefully he turns out to more like a Scalia or Thomas, and not a David Souter.
Are they trying to see how ridiculous they can be? Ah, well, at least they are amusing us; not sure what they are doing for their constituents...

My guess is that they don't care about what they do for their constituents, their big focus appears to be spewing whatever ridiculous vitriole is the current party line, and the lefter, the better.
